Consultations
As homeopathy treats the 'whole' person and not just a specific ailment, I would discover what is unique about you and your symptoms and so the first consultation usually takes about 1½ hours. I would ask about your general health, what makes you feel better or worse, what foods you like or dislike, or which disagree, whether you are sensitive to environmental influences such as heat and cold, and wet and dry atmospheres. Your personal medical history and that of your family would also be of interest.
After the initial consultation, I would work on your case and select the remedy most closely matching you as a person, and the symptoms of your illness. This would then be posted to you together with the relevant instructions.
It is very important for me to monitor a person’s reaction to the remedy, so I would need to ask you to commit yourself to at least one follow-up visit. This is usually four weeks after the first visit and the outcome of that visit would help determine future treatment.
