Common Questions

Common Questions

What is a homeopathic remedy like?
Homeopathic remedies are prepared from natural sources, they may be derived from plants, minerals, or insects. They are diluted, vigorously shaken and mixed ('succussed') many times to create an end product that will be a safe and appropriate remedy.

How are homeopathic remedies taken?
Homeopathic remedies are usually given by mouth in the form of tablets or powders.

What homeopathy is not
Homeopathy aims to treat the whole person and not merely the symptoms of a condition or known disease. Homeopaths do not make a diagnosis and I will always refer you to your GP if I think further investigations are required. Although many patients experience a great improvement in their state of health after only a short period of treatment, homeopathy does not provide 'magic bullets’. Generally, some level of commitment to a course of treatment will be required.
